Session One - The Great Apple Pie Quest
[2023/02/16 15:20] Sonja Bikergrrl: who's doing what now?
[2023/02/16 15:21] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Good question
[2023/02/16 15:21] Sonja Bikergrrl: because there's some little monsters that would like a word
[2023/02/16 15:23] Alicia Frakture: Looking forward to those words
[2023/02/16 15:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: I'm sure they're friendly.
[2023/02/16 15:24] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Little monsters? Facinating
[2023/02/16 15:26] Sonja Bikergrrl: /me cracks knuckles and checks notes and eyes the clock
[2023/02/16 15:26] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Where did we leave off, humble Dungeon Mistress?
[2023/02/16 15:28] Sonja Bikergrrl: /me finds the right browser tab and rummages for notecards
[2023/02/16 15:28] Sonja Bikergrrl: Grrrrrrrrreeetings Adventurers, some players get a humble DM... you get me :)
[2023/02/16 15:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: According to my memory, you were talking to a talking tree, who clearly wasn't talkative, and said a few little monsters were coming, and indeed you could hear chittering and chattering
[2023/02/16 15:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: what do you do?
[2023/02/16 15:30] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Ah yes, chittering things coming around the corner.
[2023/02/16 15:30] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben grips her spear and ducks into the nearest source of cover.
[2023/02/16 15:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: taking cover, eh... Leesha?
[2023/02/16 15:32] Alicia Frakture: Leesha pulls out her wrench and smacks it into her palm looking at teh little guys.
[2023/02/16 15:36] Sonja Bikergrrl: From around the corner of the farmhouse, four little green-skinned humanoids in crude leather armour appear, chittering to each other. "Why's we got to go?" "Because we on duty." "No one ever there, is ghosts!" They stop and look at Leesha, clearly surprised to see you there.
[2023/02/16 15:38] Sonja Bikergrrl: /me waits for you to come up with some cunning response or plan
[2023/02/16 15:40] Alicia Frakture: Leesha smiles a big toothy grin. "What brings you four to these parts?"
[2023/02/16 15:41] Sonja Bikergrrl: One of them recovers first, and starts, "We here guarding house, and we hear knocking on door, we come see...." He gets elbowed by the biggest of them, apparantly the leader. "Quiet! You silly. We ask questions! Why -you- here?"
[2023/02/16 15:41] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben gets ready to cast an illusion spell, planning to build off whatever it is that Leesha comes up with, expecting to leverage the ghosts idea.
[2023/02/16 15:45] Sonja Bikergrrl: /me is curious about that too
[2023/02/16 15:46] Alicia Frakture: Leesha narrows her eyes."How about you answer me with more info or I stack ya one on top of the other."
[2023/02/16 15:48] Sonja Bikergrrl: They look at each other, in some confusion. "What big green skin mean, stack on top of each other?" "She mean make us stand like one tall pole." "Why she do that?" "Maybe she want to see roof?" "You silly! She threat!" "Yeah? We show her!" The four of them draw their swords and form into a rough line, baring teeth threateningly
[2023/02/16 15:50] Alicia Frakture: Leesha is going to bare her teeth and going for intimidations with a loud roar
[2023/02/16 15:51] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben completes their spell, spawning an audible glamer amplifying the roar, invoking the sound of many bears and lions echoing from Leesha!
[2023/02/16 15:51] Sonja Bikergrrl: The creatures aren't fazed by this, they roar back (quieter and higher pitched, admittedly) and charge forwards to attack!
[2023/02/16 15:51] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: (( oops ))
[2023/02/16 15:53] Sonja Bikergrrl: The spell causes a rather loud roaring all around, as if wild animals just got unleashed. The creatures pause, but only for a moment before they rally, they can see one, there's four of them - they'll deal with the mad menagerie after dealing with Leesha!
[2023/02/16 15:55] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: (( Current Turn Order? ))
[2023/02/16 15:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: The creatures are charging, you just cast a spell. Now you get to decide what to do about four armed attackers; they will attack after you act
[2023/02/16 15:56] Alicia Frakture: Leesha pauses and smirks at the four as an idea hits her."Okay, that roar was good you four but I think you can do better, try again with your roar and you can hit better levels." Hoping to surprise them to stumble from their charge
[2023/02/16 15:57] Sonja Bikergrrl: Debben?
[2023/02/16 15:58] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: How well armored are these goblins?
[2023/02/16 15:59] Sonja Bikergrrl: Probably not very. Crude leather armour, short crude swords.
[2023/02/16 15:59] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: what parts of them does the leather cover / leave exposed?
[2023/02/16 15:59] Sonja Bikergrrl: Leather armour is usually like a leather jerkin and pants
[2023/02/16 16:00] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben tightens her grip on her spear, and prepares to launch herself on an attack from behind, aiming her spear at an exposed back of the neck, hoping to take out at least one of them by surprise.
[2023/02/16 16:01] Sonja Bikergrrl: Leesha springs out from one of the bushes, hollering and sweeping down with a sword. With a 2, though, she successfully buries the point of the sword in the ground, completely missing her target.
[2023/02/16 16:02] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: ...Leesha does?
[2023/02/16 16:02] Alicia Frakture: **Leesha did what?*
[2023/02/16 16:02] Sonja Bikergrrl: Two attack Leesha... believe it or not they both roll a 1, they practically run into each other
[2023/02/16 16:02] Sonja Bikergrrl: Fuck, not Leesha. Your travelling companion.
[2023/02/16 16:02] Sonja Bikergrrl: Who isn't called Leesha.
[2023/02/16 16:03] Sonja Bikergrrl: The two nearest your new friend attack her. One misses, the other scores a nat 20.
[2023/02/16 16:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: Well, this is awkward. She gets practically run through with one of their swords and staggers back, bleeding heavily. She's too badly injured and too shocked to even cry out.
[2023/02/16 16:05] Sonja Bikergrrl: Your turn!
[2023/02/16 16:06] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: (( You being debben or Leesha? ))
[2023/02/16 16:06] Alicia Frakture: Leesha tries to smack the two little bastards with her wrench
[2023/02/16 16:06] Sonja Bikergrrl: Debben, Leesha, and your badly injured companion.
[2023/02/16 16:06] Sonja Bikergrrl: d20, Leesha
[2023/02/16 16:07] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: (( We never did ask her name somehow ))
[2023/02/16 16:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: You didn't! Guess it never came up. Judging by that would, it could be moot.
[2023/02/16 16:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: Wound, even.
[2023/02/16 16:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: The dice gods aren't with us tonight; Leesha rolls a 10, not -quite- enough to actually hit... the wrench whizzes by a monsters' skull, missing by the barest fraction of an inch.
[2023/02/16 16:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: Debben?
[2023/02/16 16:10] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: (( Mine was a 12 ))
[2023/02/16 16:10] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: (( and a 3 for damage ))
[2023/02/16 16:10] Sonja Bikergrrl: Are you attacked the ones with Leesha or your companion?
[2023/02/16 16:12] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Whoever I can get behind better, I assumed that was Leeshas
[2023/02/16 16:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: okay, you luckily just hit and ram your spear into the back of one of them, it goes down with a loud gurgle.
[2023/02/16 16:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: Your companion is down but not yet out; a wild swing of her sword... misses. Oops.
[2023/02/16 16:14] Sonja Bikergrrl: The is a sudden blur of motion, and apples hurtle through the air, going at considerable speed.
[2023/02/16 16:15] Sonja Bikergrrl: One hits a monster squarely in the face, with a loud Smack! sending him staggering back
[2023/02/16 16:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: Despite losing one of their number, and the sudden hail of fruit, the creatures attack; the one nearest Leesha comes to his senses, but misses his go.
[2023/02/16 16:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: One stabs at your companion and misses, fortunately so does the other one.
[2023/02/16 16:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: Your turn ^ ^
[2023/02/16 16:17] Alicia Frakture: Leesha is going to try and grab one of the little guys and shake him stupid before slamming him hard to the ground
[2023/02/16 16:18] Sonja Bikergrrl: you successfully grab the one nearest you, give him a violent shake and fling him down, where he lies stunned for a moment
[2023/02/16 16:18] Sonja Bikergrrl: Debben?
[2023/02/16 16:18] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben starts swearing in dwarven, excoriating the knobble-brained goblins for their wealth-stealing hands, then backs up and yanks her spear from the neck she put it into, before stabbing out at the next closest gremlin.
[2023/02/16 16:19] Sonja Bikergrrl: d20...
[2023/02/16 16:19] Sonja Bikergrrl: A wild stab, that misses!
[2023/02/16 16:19] Sonja Bikergrrl: The dice gods do not smile on the woman either, who makes another wild swing that misses.
[2023/02/16 16:21] Sonja Bikergrrl: More fruit comes flying from behind you; one flies into the bushes, the other two thump into monster faces again. Smack, and one staggers back, smack and one falls backwards like a falling tree and doesn't move again.
[2023/02/16 16:22] Sonja Bikergrrl: The creatures are determined to win this fight! The one knocked down by Leesha gets back up. One stabs at the woman who manages to parry the blow.
[2023/02/16 16:22] Sonja Bikergrrl: Now what?
[2023/02/16 16:23] Alicia Frakture: Leesha is just gonna swing at the one getting up with ehr wrench she is hitting to hurt him and see how far she can hit him
[2023/02/16 16:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: d20
[2023/02/16 16:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: and a d6
[2023/02/16 16:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: The wrench hits solidly, caving in a small green skull, the monster drops without a sound.
[2023/02/16 16:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: Debben?
[2023/02/16 16:24] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: How many goblins are up right now?
[2023/02/16 16:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: One left.
[2023/02/16 16:25] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: She'll try to get behind the goblin, harrassing it with her spear in a series of quick stabs at whatever it's not defending well.
[2023/02/16 16:25] Sonja Bikergrrl: You impale the creature from behind. It just dies and slumps, held up by your spear.
[2023/02/16 16:26] Alicia Frakture: **He dropped aww Leesha was swinging for distance there.**
[2023/02/16 16:26] Sonja Bikergrrl: The woman takes one last wild swing and collapses
[2023/02/16 16:26] Sonja Bikergrrl: "You're welcome, don't mention it," says the tree, and snorts, as if going to sleep.
[2023/02/16 16:27] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben moves to each of the fallen goblins, making a confirming neck-stab to any in case they're faking their deaths.
[2023/02/16 16:28] Alicia Frakture: Leesha smiles at the tree and turns around seeing the Cleric on the ground and runs over to her, turning her over."She's hurt bad, we got any healing potions or anything?"
[2023/02/16 16:28] Sonja Bikergrrl: Judging by the lack of reactions, they're all dead.
[2023/02/16 16:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: The woman coughs up a mouthful of blood. "Need... rest... urg...."
[2023/02/16 16:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: A good cliffhanger moment! :)
[2023/02/16 16:30] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Woo!
[2023/02/16 16:30] Alicia Frakture: Nice
[2023/02/16 16:30] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: We're not tracking XP playerside as I understand?
[2023/02/16 16:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: when I saw the rolls at the start, I thought it was gonna be a TPK :P
[2023/02/16 16:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: I got that on a scrap of paper here
[2023/02/16 16:30] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: That would be even -more- of a temporal paradox
[2023/02/16 16:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: fortunately their rolls were almost worse
[2023/02/16 16:31] Alicia Frakture: *Got three characters in the wings if it happens*
[2023/02/16 16:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: so bad, they kept deciding to fight despite the odds and not hitting a thing
[2023/02/16 16:32] Sonja Bikergrrl: I better love you and leave you, it's later'n I thought, and you'll need to decide what to do about your rather drastically altered combat ability ;)
[2023/02/16 16:33] Alicia Frakture: /me nods."Sleep well Mistress Sonja."
[2023/02/16 16:33] Sonja Bikergrrl: After that excitement, hard to say I'll sleep ;)
